Donate Food, Furniture,
Car, and other items:
Bridge of Hope Lancaster
and Chester Counties is always in need of the
following items for homeless families:
·Toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste,
etc.)
·Disposable diapers (especially large and
extra large sizes)
·Paper supplies (paper plates, paper
cups, plastic flatware, paper towels, toilet tissue)
·Non-perishable food
·Gift cards for gas stations and grocery stores.
·Cars in good repair. In order to
move from homelessness to financial self-sufficiency, women need a job and in
order to arrive at that job, they need transportation. You can help a homeless
woman by donating a car in good running condition and with a current inspection.
Bridge
of
Hope Lancaster
and Chester Counties determines which woman receives the car, based on the
level of need and the feasibility of the car transfer. A staff member schedules
to meet you and the single mother at a notary office to do the transfer.

At
various times furniture is needed for families moving out of a shelter and into
their own apartment. We do not have the storage space to store items but
we keep a running list of items needed by families in the program. If you
have something you would like to donate, call us and we just might be able to
find a home for your furniture or house-hold item.
