Cash Gifts
Checks should be made out to Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties (or Bridge of Hope LCC) and mailed to 1516 Olive Street, Coatesville, PA 19320
Credit Card Gifts
Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties accepts donations on Master Card and Visa. You may mail in your credit card donation, including your card number, expiration date, signature and amount of your gift. Monthly Gifts
Monthly gifts, ranging from $25 to $100, are a tremendous boost to the on-going work of Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties. A monthly gift of $100 over 12 months provides rental assistance for a family to move into an apartment of their own.
Gifts in Memory or Honor
Honor someone, living or deceased, with a gift to Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties. A gift of $30 provides one night of permanent housing for a homeless family. You may also consider honoring the birth of a child, a wedding anniversary, a birthday or Mother’s Day with a gift to Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties.
Host a celebration to benefit Bridge of Hope
When hosting that special wedding anniversary or birthday party, in lieu of gifts, ask your guests to make a donation to Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties. We can supply the brochures and envelopes that you need.
Food and household items
Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties is always in need of the following items for homeless families moving into apartments:
- Health Kits
- School supplies & Bibles
- Toiletries – shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.
- Cleaning supplies – cleaners, mops, buckets, laundry soap, brooms, etc.
- Paper supplies – paper towels, toilet paper, tissues
- Shelf-stable food
- Gift cards to common gas stations and grocery stores.
Furniture donation
At various times furniture is needed for families moving out of a shelter and into their own apartment. We do not have the storage space to store items, but we keep a running list of items needed by families in the program. If you have a donation, call to see if there is a current need.
Cars in good repair
In order to move from homelessness to financial stability, women need reliable transportation. You can help a homeless woman by donating a car in good running condition and with a current inspection. Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties will provide you with a receipt for tax-purposes.
Bequests
Include a gift to Bridge of Hope LCC in your will or revocable trust. It may be a specific amount or a percentage of your estate. Whether it includes stocks, bonds or personal property, your estate receives a charitable donation.
Stocks
Bridge of Hope can receive stock donations. When you donate appreciated stock, you may receive significant tax advantages. Bridge of Hope Lancaster & Chester Counties account is set up with Smith Barney. Retirement Plan Assets & Life Insurance Policies
Designate Bridge of Hope LCC as a beneficiary in your retirement plan or life insurance policy and you can provide an important gift at considerable tax savings.
Employee Matching Plan
Many employers provide matching funds when you donate to an organization. Be sure to check if this is something offered by your company.
Endowment for Independence
All planned giving bequests are automatically become a part of this fund unless otherwise directed.
Life Income Trusts
Receive income for life while making a gift to Bridge of Hope LCC. This allows you to obtain an income tax deduction, reduce your estate taxes and protect your financial security.
